Marple Swimming Club is a competitive, friendly and sociable swimming club based at Marple Swimming Pool which is situated close to the centre of Marple.
Our primary purpose is to train and maintain a competitive swimming team providing equal opportunity for all and an environment in which each swimmer can endeavour to realise their full potential. We cater for all age groups and abilities providing lessons for absolute beginner infants through to coaching sessions for senior competitive swimmers. Adult lane swimming sessions are also available. Read more about us here.

Time to Celebrate!
Congratulations and a huge well done to all the swimmers who took part in the Celebration Gala on Saturday 2nd July at Grand Central Pools! The team finished in fourth place overall and came home as winners of the Handicap Trophy for the first time since 2004
- a fantastic achievement!

| Club kit plays an important role in making members feel part of a team and in projecting a professional and united image at competitions and galas - the Club encourages all swimmers to wear it. As a minimum, competitive swimmers will need a Club hat.
To purchase kit or to place an order please speak to the Club's Kit Coordinator, Rachel Ross, or contact her at rachelross2011@hotmail.co.uk.
Kit may also be purchased on a Swim Shop evening which is usually held at the pool on the first Friday of each month from 7p.m. to 8pm. Please check the pool Notice Board for further details.

Great swimming at Intertown!
Well done and thanks to all who swam and helped at the Intertown at Hazel Grove pool on 2 February 2012. There were some great swims and the Juniors should be especially congratulated on finishing only two points behind Saracens with a score of 41-43. The final overall score was Marple 72.5 and Saracens 95.5. (Posted 04/02/2012)
Medal winning swims at Bolton & Manchester Champs!
Well done to everyone who swam at the Bolton & Manchester Age Group Championships 2012! There were some brilliant swims from everyone and medal winning performances from Katelyn Bergin and Joe Briggs. Big thanks to Lucy, parents and friends who helped on poolside, with marshalling and officiating throughout both weekends. (Posted 02/2012)
Val Mellor awarded MBE in Queen's New Year's Honours!
Mrs Val Mellor, Cheshire County Swimming Championships Honorary Secretary, has been awarded a well deserved MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours in recognition of her services to swimming in the North West. Many congratulations to Val from all at Marple Swimming Club! (Posted 15/01/2012)
Join our very own Paralympic Gold Medallist Matt Walker for Free Master Class!
The Master Class will take place at Manchester Aquatic Centre on Thursday 5 January 2012 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The aim of this special workshop and training session is to prepare swimmers for the Swimathon Weekend challenges and to mark the launch of the world's biggest fundraising swim.
